Daily Stock Report: KSE-100 Edges Forward to 49,827 Points

KSE-100 recorded a gain of +42.34 points or +0.09% by the end of the trading session to close at 49827.51 points.

120 million shares worth Rs11.88 billion were traded by the end of the day. The Index opened positive and remained volatile throughout the last trading session while closing in green.

COMMERCIAL BANKS was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 52,745,100 shares. It was followed by CHEMICAL with a total traded volume of 38,164,390 shares and ENGINEERING sector with a total traded volume of 28,474,800.

Shares of 388 companies were traded. At the end of the day, 165 stocks closed higher, 204 declined while 19 stocks remained unchanged.

Summit Bank was the volume leader with 22.65 million shares, gaining Rs 0.21 to close at Rs 4.96. It was followed by Azgard Nine Ltd with 21.67 million shares, losing Rs 0.01 to close at Rs 14.11, Engro Polymer with 20.20 million shares, losing Rs 0.94 to close at Rs 28.19 and Aisha Steel Mill with 20.18 million shares, losing Rs 0.26 to close at Rs 25.20.
