Honda Civic Sales in Pakistan Reach 150,000 Units

Atlas Honda recently released sales figures for the Honda Civic models sold since the company first entered Pakistan. According to them, Honda Civic has sold 150,000 units until 2017.

A favorite of Pakistanis, Honda Civic has been as popular as ever, boosted further since the unveiling of the 10th-generation Honda Civic 2016.

Record Breaking Sales Growth

Honda Atlas Pakistan revealed that the sales of Honda Civic 2016 have been massive since its release on 21st July 2016.

The sales volume was 20,400 units in a year, from July 2016 till July 2017. This is a huge increase compared with sales of previous years and models. Honda Atlas called this achievement “record-breaking”. Even now, the company is facing supply issues as the orders have exceeded the maximum production capacity and the car maker has to delay orders by months.

Honda Civic 2016

Honda fashioned the 2016 Civic to give it a more aggressive look while also adding modern functionality – the kind of features not usually seen in a locally assembled vehicle.

Some of the features include: Push Start, Continuously Variable Transmission, Electric Parking Brake, Auto Brake Hold, SRS airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist, Hill Start Assist, Anti-Lock Braking System, Emergency Stop Signal, Immobilizer, and Navigation System.

This was also the first time ever that Honda included a Turbo variant (1,500 cc) with other models (1,600 and 1,800 cc).

Honda Civic 2016 comes in three variants in Pakistan – 1.5-Litre VTEC Turbo, 1.8-Litre, and 1.8-Litre VTI Oriel. The prices range between Rs. 2,349,000 and Rs. 2,999,000.

There are 4 variants offered globally (outside of Pakistan). These are LX, EX, EX-T, and EX-L.

Finally having a locally assembled vehicle with all of these features in Pakistan, it boosted the people’s enthusiasm and it suddenly became the new favorite.

These very aspects attracted Pakistanis and this is why Civic has been the most purchased vehicle with total sales so far of 150,000 units.
