Samsung Unveils Galaxy S9’s Flagship Ringtone [Video]

Samsung’s latest and greatest Galaxy S9 is due to arrive next week. However, the Korean smartphone giant has already unveiled the new ringtone for the upcoming flagship. You can also call it the new flagship ringtone from Samsung.

Here’s the latest iteration of Over The Horizon for the Galaxy S9 and S9+:

Made by Petur Jonsson from Iceland, the composer played it on a piano. The video also shows scenes from Iceland. According to Samsung the new tune will,

arouse the purest, fundamental elements of the human sentiment that often remain hidden in our daily lives.

The company says the new calming ringtone will allow you to relax which is often the opposite of what a ringtone usually does.

How it Started

If you have used a Samsung phone over the past few years, you must be familiar with “Over The Horizon”.

Used as the default ringtone in Samsung phones, Over The Horizon has been in use since 2011. Over the years, it has changed several times, going from groovy, to jazzy, to sound like something like an Acapella for the S8 and S8+.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be revealed at the Mobile World Congress 2018, which will commence on February 25th. The phone will follow a similar design aesthetic as the S8 and S8+ with minor changes here and there.

It will be powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor, with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of storage.

S9 will feature a single 12 MP camera with a variable aperture, while the S9+ will be sporting dual cameras.
