Sindh government recently imposed a ban on throwing garbage in the open in a bid to control pollution. In this regard, Karachi Police has started arresting people who are found violating this rule and dumping trash in a public area.
Initially, the Police arrested two individuals from the old city area of Karachi on account of throwing garbage on the main road.
Several other arrests were made from Garden, Saudabad and Khawaja Ajmer Nagri areas on the same charges as well.

Arrests Made
An FIR (First Information Report) was registered under Section 188 of Pakistan Penal Code on behalf of the state against the arrested men. The arrested individuals were brought to a local court after which they were released on bail.

SHO Adil Khan, who made the arrests, told that government has directed to arrest any individuals who are throwing garbage in the open. He further said that the government has told the public to throw garbage in the designated places and not burn it. The burning of trash has been banned as well as it poses threats to health and environment.
While there is no solid data about how much waste Karachi generates daily, there are estimates that put it around thousands of tons of garbage per day. The garbage can be seen piled up in several areas of the city and the government has failed to contain the situation properly so far.

Its very Good news, I took this very news seriously and went to local Police Station with this News and ask them to help me and register the complain against some people I know throw the garbage at main street near my Home.
But fortunately they remind I live in Pakistan, and suggest me to Calm Down and first thing I have to do is to install the Camera at that point, record the activity for all the people who throw the garbage, and give them a Recorded Video footage as Proof. or else forget about complain.
This is reality of Pakistani laws and police system.

Florida Homes, Phase V Extension, D.H.A., Karachi. It is dumped right outside
of my backyard and creating issues of rats etc. as I am living with my family
and afraid of their illness due to such unhealthy atmosphere. I already
complaint with management of Florida but no success. I will appreciate if you
please look into it and clean it and take action to avoid dumping of such
garbage there in future.
I also don’t know who allowed for such dumping of garbage there
which giving bad impression as well and looks we are not living in Defence but
within some underpriviledge area. I am used to of living in clean place that’s
why shifted in Defence area 5 years back.
Will appreciate your quick action on this matter as I am regular
payee of all required taxes and don’t deserve such atmosphere.
