The Government of Pakistan has announced a public holiday on May 1st to recognize the efforts of workers and laborers across the country. May 1 is observed as the Labour Day or International Workers’ Day worldwide to celebrate the achievements of labor union movement.
Most of the countries in the world observe this day as a holiday.
Pakistan also recognizes the efforts of workers so all offices will remain closed on May 1st. State Bank of Pakistan will be closed as well on Tuesday (May 1) next week.
