Expressing his views about the program, Chief Human Resource Officer PTCL, Syed Mazhar Hussain said,

The primary role of an organization in today’s society should be to accelerate the capability building of its members so that they can create more value. It is our responsibility to make PTCL the leader in the service industry and I strongly believe that it can happen with sincere efforts and promising attitude to deliver. Our front line staff is the most crucial force which can bring in the Culture of Service Excellence.

He further added, “Today’s corporate culture demands from employees the highest standard of Customer Centricity. Building customer loyalty is not a choice any longer with businesses – it’s the only way of building sustainable competitive advantage.”

PTCL T&D department has been focusing on upgrading customer services by putting its efforts in carrying out such training interventions across Pakistan from thickly populated metropolitan cities to far-flung small towns.

This intervention will enable the front line staff to deliver better customer services, which will manifest in long-lasting change of mindset across the organization.

  • from last 6 month complaining about internet speed and disconnection .. and still not fixed .. they need more 100 years to update there services from 4Mb to 10Mb ..

  • This initiative should have been taken long back immediately after PTCL’s privatization. However, “Dair Ayed Durust Ayed” we hope PTCL improves its Qibla to give a better and acceptable service. I am a major share holder of PTCL and bought its share when the Share was at Rs. 19.30 but due to its inferior service this share it trading today at Rs. 11.80, Recently, they have introduced 100 MB speed Internet. They can reduce its monthly cost to 50% to attract end customers and compete with Fiber Optic Cable TV providers who are currently ripping us off with inferior service and higher rates. Keeping in view of Marketing angle, they should further explore this 100 MB rate reduction policy, advertise is widely to expand user base. Only if they adopt and think out of the box, they would succeed otherwise they would be wiped off. Regards.

  • They also need to change the ground staff. They always blame other. its their issue(round and round)
