Pakistanis celebrated the 71st Independence Day with patriotic enthusiasm and great fervor. Excitement and jubilation were expressed in different and unique ways throughout the country.
One of the mosr prominent and traditional ways is to decorate iconic buildings of the cities with lighting, which not only add to the beautification of the city but also develop an ambiance of the celebration while showing people’s love for their country.
Here are a few notable buildings from different cities:
MCB Bank is one of the few banks which don’t have a head office in Karachi. Its HQ building is situated in Lahore, Main Gulberg, Jail Road.
National Bank of Pakistan
National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) is one of the oldest buildings in Karachi situated on the wall street of Pakistan, I I Chandīgarh Road.
Pakistan’s first and the largest full-fledged Islamic bank, Meezan Bank has its head office in the industrial area of SITE. The building is one of the most unique ones in the area.
Dubai Islamic Bank
Dubai Islamic Bank’s head office is situated in the main Clifton area. Its building was simply decorated with the national flag on the occasion of Independence Day.
Federal Board of Revenue
The building of FBR’s headquarter is one of the few iconic towers in Islamabad. The building became more beautiful on the occasion of August 14th.
Jinnah Terminal of Karachi airport has become more notable with the illumination and ligthing for Independence Day celebrations.
The building of Civic Center is most frequently visited by the masses in Karachi. The building is located in the center of the city having offices of different local government departments.
Decorated with the national flag and lightings, the building located on Shahrah-e-Faisal is really eye-catching. TPS is a diversified company with business in IT and financial services.
An IT company situated on main Shahrah-e-Faisal was simply beautiful among all surrounding buildings near the overpass of Baloch colony.
The building of Dawn Group is situated at Dr Zia uddin Ahmad road. It is simply decorated with green and white lights.
