Cricket’s regulatory body in the country, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has welcomed its new Chairman Ehsan Mani following the resignation of Najam Sethi from his role. The Prime Minister of Pakistan has the authority to appoint the head of the cricketing body, which happens to be the strongest sports organization in the country.
Mani has already enjoyed a successful tenure as the head of International Cricket Council (ICC).
PCB Chairman is an honorary post meaning that there is no monthly salary, however, the authority comes with other advantages and below are the perks which our heads of PCB enjoy:
Daily Allowance for Local and International Tours – The Chairman is entitled to Rs 10,000 as the daily allowance for domestic tours while $650 for international tours – first class with the spouse – without accommodation. The Chairman is allowed 5-star hotel accommodation with $300 daily allowance.
Accommodation –Â Rs 100,000 per month for a fully furnished accommodation or the same amount in cash if accommodation is not used. The Chairman is paid Rs 40,000 for utility bills as well. There are 3 full-time servants as well as a security guard.
Personal Vehicle –Â Ehsan Mani will also have a 3500cc car at his service with a full-time driver.
Other Perks –Â PCB Chairman is provided with one cell-phone and a landline number and all medical bills for self and spouse are paid by PCB. Business entertainment will be compensated by the PCB as actual.
Amidst Prime Minister’s austerity drive, which has been lauded by the general public, it would be interesting to see if Ehsan Mani uses these perks or becomes a part of the initiative taken by Imran Khan himself.

Not so big perks for a person at such high level, as there is no salary as well. You cannot find a fully furnished house in a posh area in 100,000rs these days. For stay and food in Pakistan 10,000 isn’t a big amount keeping in mind the status of Chairman. Same goes for 650$ abroad. Yes 3500cc car is a catch, it should be max 1800cc.
