FIA Arrests Man for Luring Women into Making Unethical Videos and Blackmailing

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), on Wednesday, arrested a man for luring women into making unethical videos for blackmailing, media reports said.

The Cyber Crime Circle of FIA arrested a man from Lahore’s Ali Town on Raiwind Road and seized his gadgets.

According to an FIA official, they had found three ‘objectionable’ videos on the mobile phone of the suspect. They did not elaborate on the content though.

The official said that the raid was made on suspect’s residence after receiving multiple complaints against him.

He was accused of luring young girls into making the unethical videos.

The suspect would be charged under Cyber Crime Act 2016 and would be presented before the court tomorrow.

Earlier in the morning, a Peshawar man was sentenced for eight years in jail for impersonating a woman on Facebook.

The man had reportedly cloned the Facebook profile of a woman and was uploading pictures of women.

The suspect identified as Ahsan Shiraz was convicted under cybercrime charges. Moreover, he was also fined an amount of Rs. 50,000.
