Cherat Cement Company Limited (CCCL) has successfully installed and commissioned the third line of Cement Manufacturing.
The company notified it has successfully completed the project before the schedule time. The manufacturing facility will be having a production capacity of 6,700 tons per day of clinker, along with Waste Heat Recovery Plant at its existing location in Nowshera, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.
With this expansion, the cement production capacity of the company has increased to more than 4.5 million tons per annum, the notification issued by the company stated.
Cherat Cement back in Januray 2017 had announced that it would install a third cement production line at its existing site in Nowshera, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
With adding capacity, the industry may have to sell its cement abroad which may not fetch it the desired prices per ton sold and margins may not improve
It manufactures, markets, and sells ordinary Portland cement and clinker in Pakistan. The company sells its products under the Cherat brand name. Cherat Cement Company Limited also exports its products.
Cherat’s plant is located in Nowshera, KP and supplies cement to the markets in the north particularly KP, Punjab and Azad Kashmir while also exporting to Afghanistan.
Cherat’s script at the bourse was closed at Rs68.87, down by Rs0.37 or – 0.57% with a turnover of 208,500 shares on Friday.
