Local Authorities Ordered to Fix Roads & Parking Areas Near Karachi Stadium

The Sindh government has ordered the administrative authorities to repair all the roads near and around Karachi National Stadium.

Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2019 is due to start today and following the completion of the League Stage, the competition will move to Pakistan.

Karachi National Stadium is set to be lit up for five matches, which also includes the final of the PSL 2019. Prior to these matches, Sindh government has taken the initiative to repair all the surrounding roads.

Moreover, the government has also advised the local authorities to improve their management. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials have ensured complete support regarding the improvements required.

Chairman of District Municipal Corporation (DMC), Moeed Anwar, said that all the repairs will be completed before the matches are played in Karachi.

In addition to fixing the roads, the DMC has also taken notice of broken/malfunctioning street lights and lack of parking areas. These issues will also be addressed with the help of Deputy Commissioner Office, said Moeed.
