Pakistan to Compensate Victims of Firing Along Line of Control

Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, has appreciated the valiant spirit of locals living across the Line of Control for facing Indian aggression with resolve.

He acknowledged their sacrifices and assured them that the government will compensate them for their losses. He announced this while talking to media in Chinari town, which is 10 kilometers far from LoC in Chakothi sector.

“I know people have suffered huge losses due to ruthless Indian shelling and the federal government will compensate them,” said the minister.

He also assured the residents that the government will accelerate the construction of bunkers along with focusing on the provision of health and education facilities to the locals.

The minister also said that the federal government will consider all the affected LoC residents among the beneficiaries of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP). He further divulged that they will also be provided with the Insaf Health Cards.

“I assure you that we will not leave you alone in your testing times,” said Gandapur. He said that the sacrifices of Kashmiris and armed forces of Pakistan will not go in vain. “Our martyrs and heroes will always remain alive in our memories,” said the minister.

Meanwhile, the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has also decided to pitch an Rs.5 billion relief and rehabilitation plan for victims of Indian firing along the LoC.
