Here’s What We Know About The Upcoming New Moto Razr

Motorola is rumored to be reviving its Razr brand. Though there’s not much information about what features this unique phone will boast, some of its specs have been leaked.

Motorola has been working on a foldable phone behind the scenes with no official announcement or confirmation yet. The unique foldable Motorola Razr is expected to come out this summer, however, this comes with some bad news.

This dream phone will cost at least $1500. On the other hand, if we compare it with the $1980 Samsung Galaxy Fold, this one seems slightly more reasonable, but still quite expensive.

Let’s dig into the details.

Design and Display

According to reports, the main display will be on the inside of the fold, this will prevent the screen from breaking and damaging as well. Apart from this, there is news that Motorola is working on using an OLED display similar to the one used by Huawei Mate X.

One of the most talked about features of Motorola Razr is its secondary display on the outside, which is small, and will show pre-defined content. In comparison to this, Samsung Galaxy Fold features two full fledge displays.

The secondary screen has 6 quick settings along with some pre-installed features. It also allows scrolling through a web browser and activating Google Assistant.

A patented document that was released by Motorola in December 2019 shows that the design will have a lot of resemblance with the original Motorola Razr. The only difference is that the keyboard is replaced with the foldable screen.

Other Specifications

Since the display of the phone is its most intriguing feature, very little is known about everything else. Based on the above-mentioned high price, it is predicted the high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor will be used. Apart from this, the cameras are also expected to be high-end but we don’t know about them for now.

Lenovo is planning to make 200,000 units of the Moto Razr in collaboration with Verizon. It is quite clear that this will be a limited edition smartphone and will not see a global release.
