Ministry Launches Electronic System & App to Address Hajj Pilgrims’ Complaints

Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has introduced an electronic monitoring system (EMS) for immediate resolution of inquiries and complaints submitted by the aspiring pilgrims during the Hajj days.

The EMS has been developed in technical collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB). The ministry has dedicated a helpline to ensure timely response to the inquiries and complaints of the Hajj pilgrims.

The ministry has also developed an android application named ‘Pak Hajj Moavin’. It has also launched a Mobile SMS service called ‘Pak Hajj Guide’ to provide the necessary information to the aspiring pilgrims.

The app can be downloaded here.

The pilgrims can register complaints on an online complaint registration portal while Hajj monitoring system has been set aside for official supervisions.

The system comes with an in-built mechanism which transfers the unresolved complaints to the next management tier for the appropriate measures.

The system also generates a daily situation report to keep the senior management informed. An electronic system was already rolled out in Hajj 2013 but it has received some major upgrades for Hajj 2019.
