Manu Kumar Jain, global Vice President of Xiaomi, just teased in a tweet that the upcoming Xiaomi device is going to be powered by either a Snapdragon 730 or 730G.
Notably earlier this month, Qualcomm announced three of its new processor chips, namely Snapdragon 730 and the 730G along with Snapdragon 665.
The teaser was posted on Twitter after a meeting between the executives of Xiaomi and Qualcomm. In the tweet, Jain says that the new device is coming to India “very soon”.

Though Jain didn’t directly say which chipset it is going be, the hint makes it pretty evident that the new device is going to be powered by the Snapdragon 730 or the 730G “A new Xiaomi phone with latest Snapdragon 7_ _ (announced just 2 weeks ago) is coming to India very soon!”.
The word going around is that the device is going to be the Xiaomi Mi A3. The device is rumored to have the Snapdragon 730, a triple camera and a 4000mAh battery. Of course, this one is also going to have Android Pie.
The Mi A3 is going to be a successor of last year’s Mi A2 which went for roughly $172, so the expected price range for the Mi A3 will be around $200 as well.
Alongside Mi A3, Xiaomi may also bring Mi A3 Lite. As the name suggests, the Mi A3 Lite will likely have inferior specifications and will be a more affordable version of the Mi A3.
