Shoaib Malik Breaks Silence on Allegations of Night Out Before India Match

Seasoned Pakistani all-rounder Shoaib Malik has opened up about the viral video that showed him, his wife Sania Mirza and other team players hanging out at a Sheesha bar in Manchester.

The video was told to be of a day before high-voltage India vs Pakistan clash and attracted much criticism on social media following the team’s no-show.

The 38-year-old all-rounder took to Twitter to express his displeasure about the video claims associated with it.

Expressing disappointment on the fact that he had to give clarification on his personal life, the veteran all-rounder maintained that the video was shot two days before the game night.

“The videos are from 13th June and not 15th.” He added, “Having served my country for 20+ years in Intl Cricket, it’s sad that I have to clarify things related to my personal life.”

Referring to the baselessness of the news, Malik also called for accountability of non-credible Pakistani media.

“When will Pak media be accountable for their credibility by our courts?!”

The video that featured Wahab Riaz, Imam-ul-Haq, Imad Wasim and the star couple spread far and wide soon after Pakistan’s humiliating loss against arch-rival India. Even the so-called credible sports journalists retweeted it building their anti-Malik arguments on it.

While there could be no justification to Pakistan team’s pathetic performance in the ongoing cricket world cup, their personal lives should still be spared from criticism.
