Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be Pakistani or AJK nationals and permanent residents of Pakistan or AJK. Dual nationality holders are not eligible.

For Bachelor’s programs, candidates must have completed HSSC or an equivalent qualification. They must also meet the relevant age and academic requirements.

For Master’s programs, applicants must hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree. Similarly, PhD applicants must have a relevant Master’s degree that allows them to enter doctoral studies.

Applicants must also provide a valid USAT score for Bachelor’s programs or a valid HAT score for Master’s and PhD programs.

Students should also note that French is the main language of instruction in most Moroccan higher education institutions. Therefore, selected candidates who do not have enough French language skills may need to take preparatory language courses after arriving in Morocco.

Some programs, including Arabic Language and Islamic Studies, may be taught in Arabic.

Scholarship Coverage

The scholarship offers Pakistani and AJK students an opportunity to study in Morocco under the Moroccan Government Scholarships Program.

Selected candidates may enroll in public institutions of higher, technical, and vocational education in Morocco.

However, applicants should carefully check all financial terms, tuition support, living expenses, travel costs, and any additional conditions before applying.

Candidates should also confirm whether their selected field and institution meet Pakistani recognition and accreditation requirements.

This is especially important for Medicine, Engineering, Nursing, Architecture, Law, Veterinary Medicine, and similar professional fields. Applicants should check with the relevant Pakistani councils before selecting a program.

Application Procedure

Interested students must apply online through the HEC scholarship portal.

Applicants should complete their profile, open the “Learning Opportunities Abroad” section, and select the Moroccan Government Scholarships Program.

HEC has advised applicants to submit the online form before the deadline. Saved or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Candidates should use an active email address and phone number in the HEC portal because HEC will use these details for future communication.

Hard copies are not required at the initial stage. Only nominated candidates will be asked to submit documents later.

Required Documents

Applicants should prepare their academic documents before submitting the online application.

These may include educational certificates, transcripts, CNIC or domicile details, passport information, photographs, and valid USAT or HAT score details, depending on the level of study.

Candidates applying for professional programs should also keep relevant recognition or equivalence information ready, where required.

HEC may ask shortlisted or nominated candidates to provide additional documents at a later stage.

Deadline

The application deadline for the Moroccan Government Scholarships Program 2026–27 is June 10, 2026.

Students who want to study in Morocco should complete their applications early to avoid last-minute issues on the portal.
