“Aamil” Arrested for Secretly Making Indecent Videos of Over 3000 Women

The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA), Cyber Crime Circle in Karachi, has apprehended a fake religious healer (Aamil) for videotaping faithful women.

FIA’s Cyber Crime Wing acted on a tip and raided his residence on Thursday. A massive cache of indecent videos and images – of nearly 3000 women – have been recovered from him.

The alleged victim used his act to coerce women into indecent acts and then recorded the whole thing.

Additional Director Cyber Crime Wing Faizullah Korejo said that the fake faith healer, identified as Shahnawaz, used video calling facility to ‘heal’ patients who could not visit his place.

The accused then blackmailed women into illicit relations with him using the video he had made without their consent. According to FIA, he also used the same blackmailing tactics to demand money from helpless victims.

The impersonator also threatened female victims of leaking their indecent pictures and videos on social media by creating fake accounts on their names.

Korejo said that the phones and gadgets recovered from him had been taken into custody, and a case has been registered against him.
