My Career, My Choice: Hafeez Opens Up About His Retirement Plans

Pakistan’s all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez claims that he will retire from cricket on his own terms.

Responding on Twitter, Hafeez said that he has no desire to leave cricket despite being removed from the central contract list.

Give up I don’t know this word, my career meri marzi (my choice).

Although Hafeez has been snubbed from the central contract list, he will be available for selection, according to Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) press release.

Hafeez, who was once the no. 1 all-rounder, struggled to overcome his bowling action problems. With his bowling suffering and inconsistent batting performances, Hafeez has found it difficult to justify his position in the side.

The all-rounder has already retired from Test cricket and informed the board that he will also hang his boots in ODIs when he believes that a replacement is available for him.
