Rawalpindi police have arrested three individuals for sexually abusing children and filming the act on their cell phones. The suspects used these videos to blackmail the children and extort money from them.

Police have found at least four of these videos from the accused. Superintendent Police (SP) Saddar Division Rai Mazhar Iqbal shared this in a briefing to Rawalpindi City Police Officer (CPO) Faisal Rana.

The gang extorted money from the children, blackmailing them that they’ll upload their videos online if they didn’t comply. The children would pay them the money they had for their tuition fees, school or other expenses.

CPO Rana directed the SP to send in the gang’s cellphones for forensic analysis and to recover deleted videos and images. Rana also asked the victims’ families to come forward and assist the police in their investigation. He promised that the identities of the victims will be kept secret.
