With this year’s IFA just a week away, LG has already unveiled multiple devices such as the K50s and K40s. But unexpectedly, LG just unveiled the Q70. It is the first device by the company that has a punch-hole camera in the display that LG affectionately refers to as the Hole-In-Display.
Design and Display
The LG Q70 has a 6.4” display that supports a Full HD+ resolution. The punch hole display has 2340 x 1080 pixel screen resolution with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It has a very sleek design similar to most current smartphones. and at the back, the three cameras at the back are positioned at the top and lined horizontally.
Internal and Storage
It is powered by a Snapdragon 675 paired with a 4GB RAM and storage capacity of 64 GB which can be expanded by up to 2TB using the dedicated MicroSD card slot. While the chipset may not be the cutting edge from Snapdragon, it is enough for day to day use. And combined with an IP68 rating, 32-bit Quad DAC audio, and DTS:X 3D Stereo Sound, it offers more than most midrange devices.
Cameras
The Q70 has a triple camera setup at the back that includes a 32 MP main sensor, a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle one and a 5 MP depth-sensing lens. At the front, inside the punch hole in the display resides a 16 MP shooter.
Battery and Pricing
The phone supports Quick Charge 3.0 for the 4,000 mAh battery and will cost around $450.
