Reports regarding Xiaomi CC9 Pro’s release have been making rounds on the internet for weeks now. The smartphone was rumored to launch on 24th October, but the Chinese smartphone giant was silent about the whole scenario.
The company has finally teased the official launch date of CC9 Pro on Weibo, with a picture of what could be a Penta-lens camera setup. Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the smartphone by 5th November.
According to the post, the smartphone will feature a 108MP camera as well as a 5x optical zoom. It will be the first commercially available smartphone with a 108MP camera, not counting the Mi Mix Alpha.
The poster reveals a vertical module with three camera sensors stacked, followed by separately placed fourth and fifth camera lenses. The dual-LED flash units are stacked beside the vertical camera module.
As far as the specifications of the smartphone are concerned, the company has not confirmed anything. However, according to rumors it is expected that Mi CC9 Pro will arrive with a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, an under-display fingerprint sensor, a 32-megapixel selfie camera, Snapdragon 730G octa-core processor topped with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of onboard storage, a 4,000mAh battery and MIUI 11 based on Android 10.
During the same event, the company is expected to launch the Xiaomi Watch and Xiaomi Mi TV 5.
