Misbah-ul-Haq, head coach and chief selector of the national men’s cricket team, captain Babar Azam and coordinator – selection committee, Nadeem Khan, held a preliminary meeting today at the Gaddafi Stadium to discuss the side for the three T20Is against Bangladesh to be played here on 24, 25 and 27 January.
The discussion process will continue on Thursday when they will involve the six selectors, following which Misbah and Babar will announce the side at 2.30 pm in the media conference room at Far End, Gaddafi Stadium.
It has been reported that the fans will see major changes, with hopes of Haris Rauf and Sarfaraz Ahmed being included in the squad once again.
Babar Azam, captain of T20I squad, has publicly admitted that he wishes for Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez to be included in the team once again because of their experience.
It remains to be seen what steps the PCB management will take, especially with T20 World Cup in mind which will be held this year.
