Here’s Everything You Need to Know About the Upcoming Vivo Z6

Vivo is gearing up to launch a new 5G smartphone, dubbed the Z6 this month. The new Z6 has been leaked over the past few weeks, almost confirming all of its specifications. Vivo has now officially announced the date and some of the features we’ll get to see on the Z6.

An image shared on Weibo by Vivo shows off the design and also mentions some of the major specifications of the Z6. From the looks of it, the Z6 will have a glass back and an aluminum frame. There’s a neat looking quad-camera setup on the back, placed inside a rectangular camera bump.

A fingerprint scanner on the back confirms that there will be no under-display fingerprint scanner. Not to mention that there’s word on whether it’ll use an LCD or AMOLED panel but if the Z5 is any indication, the Z6 will most likely use an AMOLED panel as well.

On the display side of things, there’s a punch-hole camera located on the top right corner of the display. The bezels are kept at a minimum but there’s still a noticeable chin at the bottom.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the Z6 will be coming with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor and either 6 or 8 GB of RAM. Backing it up is a 5,000mAh battery, which is the same size as last year’s Z5, which now supports 44W ultra-fast charging, unlike its predecessor.

Vivo has mentioned that the Z6 will have a “PC-grade liquid-cooled heat dissipation” system that will greatly improve the thermals of the device.

Out of the box, the Z6 will be running Android 10 and since the Snapdragon 765G uses a X55 5G modem, it will also have dual-mode 5G support. 5G variants may be limited to China only and the rest of the world will see the launch of the 4G variant only.

Pre-orders Live

Pre-orders have already gone up in China and those who pre-order the phone by February 28th will also receive a pair of XE900 earphones and some other China-exclusive goodies as well.

Colors available on the pre-order page are Black, White and Blue.
