Turkish Game of Thrones: PTV Announces Dirilis Ertugrul Airing Date

The wait is over, as the Pakistan Television (PTV) has announced the airing date for the Turkish historical fiction series Diriliş: Ertuğrul (Resurrection: Ertuğrul).

As per the announcement on the official page, the world-famous TV series often called as the ‘Turkish Game of Thrones’ will be aired from the first of Ramadan (April 25th) on PTV Home.

The drama serial is being aired in Urdu dubbing in Pakistan on the recommendation of Prime Minister Imran Khan. In October last year, PM Khan had urged all Pakistanis to watch the drama serial as it promotes love for Islamic values.

The hit Turkish drama series will be aired every night at 9:10 pm, on PTV Home. A repeat telecast will be aired at 12 am and 12 pm on the state television.

For those unaware, ‘Drisilis: Ertugrul,’ also described as the ‘Turkish Game of Thrones’, is set in 13th century Anatolia before the establishment of the Ottoman Empire.

The TV opera has been one of the most famous Turkish dramas in history. Since its premiere in November 2014, the drama has been broadcast in 60 different countries.

The resurrection is equally popular among the Pakistani audience. This is evident from the fact that Dirilis is currently trending second on Netflix Pakistan.
