Four months after the launch of Vivo S6 5G (launched in March), the Chinese OEM has launched the Vivo S7 5G as its latest addition to the S-series. The photography-focused smartphone sports a 44 MP selfie cam, 6.44-inch AMOLED display, and an 8 GB RAM.
Design and Display
The smartphone comes with a rectangular camera bump hosting the triple sensor camera set up. One of the camera sensors is larger than the other two, improving the overall image quality. The fingerprint sensor is under the display, and the smartphone offers three stylish colors: Gradient Blue, Jazz Black, and Moonlight White.
The Vivo S7 5G is built around a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and HDR support along with 98.5% NTSC color coverage.
Internals and Storage
The mid-range handset is driven by the Snapdragon 765G mobile platform paired with 8 GB of dual-channel, LPDDR4X RAM, and 128 GB or 256 GB UFS 2.1, onboard storage.
On the software front, the device boots Funtouch 10.5 flavored Android 10.
Cameras
Moving on to one of the key features of the smartphone, it comes with a triple sensor rear camera set up with a 64 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide camera that also doubles as a macro sensor and a 2 MP depth sensor. The rear camera comes with support for electronic video stabilization and the latest Super Night modes from Vivo. Moreover, users can shoot video with the front and rear cameras simultaneously using split-screen.
On the front, the Vivo S7 5G boasts a dual-sensor camera with a 44 MP sensor capable of recording 4K video at 60 fps and a 105° ultra-wide-angle camera with an 8 MP sensor.
Battery and Pricing
Vivo S7 5G packs a 4000 mAh battery (33W fast charging) that is 500 mAh lower than what we saw in Vivo S6 5G.
It is currently available for pre-order in China and will start shipping on 8th August with the base model costing $400.
