Redmi K30 Ultra Will Sport a 120 Hz AMOLED Display

The Redmi K30 Series announced in December last year, already has six members in the lineup. However, the Xiaomi backed OEM is working on the seventh member of the family that will reportedly overcome the shortcomings of handsets previously released in the lineup.

According to a recent report by IT home, a Chinese E-newspaper, the upcoming K30 handset, Redmi K30 Ultra, will sport an AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Currently, two members of the lineup, Redmi K30 Pro and Redmi K30 Pro Zoom, come with AMOLED displays. However, they top at a 60 Hz refresh rate.

Earlier this month, Lu Weibing, Redmi’s General Manager, also announced that the Redmi K30 Pro Ultra would cater to all the shortcomings of the K30 Pro, especially the lack of a high refresh rate screen.

According to leaks and Rumors, the upcoming smartphone will have a form factor similar to other members of the family. It will keep the pop-up selfie camera design of the Pro and Zoom models providing an uninterrupted display.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the Redmi K30 Ultra is expected to come with MediaTek’s new Dimensity 1000+ processor at the helm topped with 8 GB RAM. The handset will feature a 64 MP quad-camera setup, a 20 MP selfie cam, and a 4500 mAh battery.
