Pakistan’s 3-match T20I series gets underway today at the Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester. If Babar Azam’s men can defeat the hosts 3-0, Pakistan can climb to second place in the ICC T20I rankings, up from their current 4th position.

England is at the 2nd place with 268 points while Pakistan, after 4 successive series defeats in 2019 while playing under 3 different captains, is now ranked at 4th with 260 points. Australia is the top-ranked side with 278 points while India is at 3rd spot with 266 rating points.
The Men in Green, however, have a chance to make amends by whitewashing the hosts. If they can pull this off, the team can jump back to the second place with 267 points. The whitewash will mean that England slips to 4th position with 260 points.
