Govt’s Roshan Digital Accounts Prove to be A Huge Success

Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed satisfaction over the usage of Roshan Digital Accounts by Overseas Pakistanis. Taking to Twitter, PM Khan said that he is glad to see non-resident Pakistanis taking advantage of the State Bank’s initiative.

He stated that over 21,000 Roshan Digital Accounts have been opened, and $24 million have been received through these accounts in the first month since launch.

He maintained that the number of accounts and remittances are increasing with every passing day.

Intending to provide digital banking facilities to Overseas Pakistanis, PM Imran Khan had launched the Roshan Digital Account project on September 13.

While addressing the launch, Khan reiterated that the Overseas Pakistanis are an asset of the country. He said that the initiative is an opportunity for them to invest in the real estate sector without the fear of any fraud.

Overseas Pakistanis could play a pivotal role in improving the construction sector in the country.

He said that the government will ensure the participation of overseas Pakistanis in major real estate projects.
