Huawei Watch GT2 Porsche Design Launched

At the Huawei Mate 40 series launch, the Chinese smartphone OEM Huawei launched a host of other products, including a Porsche design variant for the Huawei Watch GT2.

Feature-wise, the smartwatch is based on the Watch GT2 Pro launched in September. However, it comes with a completely revamped design and a higher price tag.

Design and Construction

The Huawei Watch GT2 Porsche Design comes with an enhanced design and is built using more sophisticated materials as compared to other watches in the series.

It is built with Titanium and a Sapphire glass screen allowing for high-temperature resistance, good thermal conductivity, high hardness, and infrared transmission. Moreover, according to Huawei, it is scratch resistant up to Mohs level 9.

The wearable features an all-titanium watch body combined with high-tech precision ceramic materials giving the watch a premium look in terms of construction. However, despite that, the watch is lighter and less susceptible to corrosion. The watch’s titanium buckle is a one-piece design and can be easily locked by pressing it lightly.

Features

The watch borrows almost all of its features from the Huawei GT2 Pro with a few tweaks. The new watch is equipped with two new professional sports modes: skiing and golf driving range. It also features a professional trajectory return function and supports more than 100 sports types, 17 professional sports modes, and six sports mode automatic recognition.

According to the company, the Huawei Watch GT2 Porsche design is the first to support all-weather blood oxygen saturation monitoring. Other typical smartwatch functions include sleep monitoring, pressure monitoring, and an all-weather heart rate monitoring technology.

Pricing and Availability

The watch will go on sale by 1st November 2020 and will cost 695 euros.
