Over the past few years, Xiaomi has made its mark on the wearable industry and has claimed a good chunk of the market. Along with Apple and Samsung, the company rounds up the top three smartwatch manufacturers globally.
Recently, an upcoming Xiaomi watch appeared in the FCC’s database, unveiling its design and key features. The watch, dubbed Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite, previously appeared on UL Demko and China’s MIIT as well.
As the name suggests, the watch is a toned-down variant of the Xiaomi Mi Watch launched last year. According to the listing, unlike the original Mi Watch, the Mi Watch Lite will come with a square casing around a 1.41-inch HD color display and a single button on the right-hand side alongside a silicone watch strap. It looks a lot like the Amazfit GTS.
Furthermore, the wearable features built-in GPS, swim-proof design, and 24-hour heart rate tracking. It packs a 230mAh battery backed by 5W fast charging. This will provide around 10 to 12 days of battery life. The device can pair with any Android 4.4 or iOS 10 and above devices over Bluetooth 5.1.
The listing also consists of an image of the box which details multiple sports modes though we don’t get a full list.
The device has been certified under the REDMIWT02 model numbers, which implies it will launch under the Redmi brand in some markets.
