The driver was immediately arrested and his bus has been seized by the traffic police.

The report mentioned that legal action will be taken against both the concerned transport company and the driver for “putting the lives of the passengers at stake”.

Additionally, the public wants the company to be sternly dealt with for being irresponsible and hiring a physically unfit driver.

In a similar incident a few weeks ago, the bus driver of another private transport company was arrested by the police for playing video games on his smartphone while driving on the motorway. The arrest was made shortly after video footage of him playing on his phone while driving went viral on social media. The bus was reportedly filled with passengers, one of whom had caught the driver on camera.
