Hafeez is in the form of his life and his innings of 99* in the second T20I and 41 in the third T20I took him past India’s KL Rahul as the top scorer in T20Is this year. KL Rahul is second on the list with 404 runs.

Hafeez became only the second Pakistani to finish the year with the most T20I runs. Previously opener, Ahmed Shehzad, had achieved the feat in 2013 when he scored 347 runs in a calendar year.

Hafeez’s 41 in the final match also made him the joint top-scorer for Pakistan in T20Is, equaling fellow teammate Shoaib Malik’s record of 2,323 runs.
