Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) flight schedule was disrupted due to bad weather conditions, causing inconvenience to hundreds of passengers who had intended to travel on domestic and international flights.
According to the PIA spokesman, Abdullah Hafeez Khan, because of the heavy fog in Lahore, Multan, Sialkot, Faisalabad, and the surrounding areas, the operation of domestic flights will be resumed following a report of improved visibility, and incoming international flights will be rerouted to land at other designated airports.
PIA’s flight PK-9248 from Dammam to Lahore was diverted to Islamabad, and flight PK-9716 from Madina to Multan was diverted to Karachi.
Flight PK-9715 from Multan will depart for Medinah with a three-hour delay, and flight PK-9748 from Madina will depart for Lahore after a delay of three and a half hours.
Similarly, flight PK-340 from Karachi will depart for Faisalabad after a one-hour delay, and flight PK-341 from Faisalabad will depart for Karachi after a delay of 45 minutes.
The spokesman advised people to get information about their flights from the PIA call center before leaving for the airports.
