Changan Alsvin’s Official Price to be Revealed on Monday

Ever since the announcement of its launch in early 2020, Changan’s new Alsvin sedan has been one of the most hotly anticipated cars among auto enthusiasts. And although the official launch of the Alsvin sedan has already taken place, the audience was left with a feeling of suspense when the CEO of Changan said that “we’d like to maintain a little mystery” about the price.

However, it seems that the wait is finally over as Changan just released a circular, stating that the price of the Alsvin Sedan will finally be revealed on Monday, January 11, 2021. From that day onwards, the booking for the Alsvin will also be officially opened for the customers. The circular also includes details about the lucky draw and pre-booking announcements.

To recap, Changan Alsvin was officially launched in Pakistan on December 11, 2020. The vehicle is a subcompact sedan that is set to compete with the likes of Toyota Yaris and Honda City in the Pakistani market. Although it will initially be offered as a CBU, Alsvin’s CKD version will go into production by mid-2021.

The car will be offered in three trim levels, the 1.37L, the 1.5L, and the 1.5L Lumiere. Each variant will come standard with basic features such as intelligent gearshift reminder, ABS brakes, Dual SRS airbags, 7″ floating infotainment screen, and a reverse camera with dynamic reverse guidelines. Additional features can also be had in finer variants.

The vehicle will be offered with two powertrain options. The base trim has a 1.37-liter 4-cylinder Blue Core engine with Dual-Variable Valve Timing Technology (DVVT ) that delivers 95 hp and 135 Nm of torque and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The mid and the top trim levels both have a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder Blue Core engine with DVVT that makes 105 hp, 145 Nm of torque, and are mated to a 5-speed DCT automatic gearbox each.

Changan Alsvin truly has all the right characteristics to be a massive hit in the Pakistani market. However, the price of the car will greatly influence its popularity among the buyers. Time will tell as to whether or not the newcomer will be able to challenge the grizzled veterans of the market i.e. the City and the Yaris.

  • The car exterior is from the indus toyota yaris and interior, well.. seems odd. The designer was clearly not sure of what to copy the design from and clearly incorporated all in the interior.
Price.. really I do not care as its going to be over priced and not worth it unless they suddenly announce that its under Rs 500K mark which can be my fantasy and I will surly bite my right arm if that is true.

  • JM, whatever designer was copying see what car is offering in terms of features which others are not. Jahan tak price ki bat hy agar Cultus ki price ko bhi match kar gai tu hit ho gi

  • Seems to be a great car and the expected Price could be between 22 – 25 lac I think. The concern could be the support services that will be offered.

  • A lot will also depend on how support network of dealers is laid out. A that costs less and has support with comparable features surely has future in Pakistan’s Market

  • Agreed with Rizwan sb….infact all new entrants are of Chinese car makers….in my opinion price is a key factor..if alsvin announces 25Lac, price then who will go for it..definitely good option will be city or Yaris….so I think it’s too of the line model should not HV price more tha. 2.2–2.3 Million PKR
