Hours after announcing the resumption of gas supply to CNG stations of Sindh, the Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) has extended the closure for another 48 hours.
A notification issued on Thursday morning said that the gas supply will remain suspended across the province until Saturday.
The filling stations were reopened on Thursday morning at 8 am, however, only to be closed again due to the shortage of gas. The closure will continue until Saturday at 8 am.
The SSGCL notification said that the CNG stations will remain open for 24 hours (until Sunday morning) when the supply is resumed on Saturday.
The filling stations across the province have remained closed for six straight days now. An earlier notification from the gas distribution company had announced a suspension of supply to filling stations from 18 to 23rd of January.
