Nokia has joined the fray of entry-level smartphones with the new Nokia 3.4 that comes with plenty of juice and a modest spec-sheet under the hood. Announced 4 months ago by its Finnish manufacturer, the phone is now available in the market at a not-so-bad asking price.
Yes, there are some other devices in this space that may be a little bit quicker, but what you’re getting here is a mixture of fit, finish, polish and of course, Android One.

Nokia 3.4 comes with a design similar to the Google Pixel product range. A rim-like finish features the camera bump sitting right above the fingerprint sensor. The back is plastic (standard) with a textured finish that gives the phone a robust feel.
The smartphone is built around a 6.39-inch IPS 720p LCD display at 400 nits and a modest 269ppi density. The bottom chin makes the phone look like an ex-feature Google Pixel 3, giving it a low-key 81.9% screen-to-body ratio.
The smartphone is powered by an entry-level Snapdragon 460 chipset that features the Adreno 610 GPU. The variant we received has 3Gb RAM and 32 GB internal storage, but the phone also comes in 3GB/64GB and 4GB/64GB variants as well.
It boots on Android 11 topped with the Android One user interface.
Other features include a dedicated microSDXC card slot, FM radio, BT 4.2, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The charcoal back sports a neat triple camera setup with a 13MP primary sensor alongside 2MP depth and 5MP ultrawide sensors that support Portrait mode and Night mode. A flashlight sits in support, adjacent to the depth sensor.
The punch-hole camera on the front houses an 8MP selfie shooter with 1080p video recording capability.
The smartphone packs a 4000mAh battery supported by a 10W fast charger. We conducted a few tests, and the battery lasts for a good 2 days as advertised.
Nokia 3.4 has hit Pakistani markets and retails for an attractive Rs. 19,900.
