Samsung is expected to announce its latest mid-range handset dubbed the Samsung Galaxy A72 later this month. According to a recent report, the handset will be launched in both 5G and 4G variants depending on the market.
Last month, the Galaxy S72 made an appearance on the Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS), Federal Communications Commission (FCC) as well as the Geekbench benchmarking platform. Moreover, Samsung has started a support page for the smartphone on Samsung Russia and Samsung Caribbean.
Recently, the smartphone was also listed on the ANATEL Brazilian certification site under the model number SM-A725M/DS. The listing reveals that the handset will be arriving with a battery that has a model number EB-A426ABY and its charger is denoted with EP-TA800B model number. According to a TUV certification, these model numbers belong to a 5000 mAh battery cell and a 25W charger respectively.
Samsung Galaxy A72’s 4G variant is expected to come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 720G SoC topped with 8 GB RAM. It will run One UI 3.0 based Android 11 OS and will feature a 6.7-inch S-AMOLED display with Infinity-O punch-hole design, 1080p resolution, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. At the back, it will sport a quad-sensor camera system with a 64 MP main sensor, a 12 MP super-wide lens, a 5 MP sensor for close shots, and a 5 MP depth sensor.
