COVID-19 Vaccine Should Be Administered to All Without Discrimination: PM

Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has pledged that the coronavirus vaccine will be administered purely on the basis of the set criteria and without any discrimination between the rich and poor segments of the society.

“Our first priority is the frontline health workers, including doctors and paramedical staff treating coronavirus patients, and in the second phase, people over the age of 60 years [will be inoculated],” the premier said on Monday while interacting with the general public on the telephone during a live television program called ‘Aap Ka Wazir e Azam Aap Kay Sath’.

The PM assured the public that everyone, irrespective of the strata of society that they belong to, will be administered the vaccine.

He also affirmed that the vaccine had arrived in Pakistan and that the government is hopeful that the entire population will be vaccinated this year.

PM Khan declared said that he is determined to transform Pakistan into a welfare state in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and modeled on the State of Medina.

“The Holy Prophet (PBUH), in his last sermon, gave a charter of humanity. The principles given by the Holy Prophet (PBUH) are now being followed by various countries of the world,” he said.

The PM announced that the government is introducing a subject on the biography of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in the curricula of Grades 8, 9, and 10 so that the youth may know about the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the Riasat-e-Madina.

The premier also stated that the West is not able to comprehend the pain that blasphemy causes to Muslims around the world, which is why there is a dire need for the entire Muslim community to raise its voice against such contemptible events.

“The West, which does not take religion like Muslims, does not fully understand the religious sentiments of Muslims as well as the sensitivity of the subject,” he said.
