Hafeez Starts a Twitter War With Sarfaraz

There is never a dull moment in Pakistani cricket. Mohammad Rizwan’s magnificent century in the first T20I between Pakistan and South Africa has silenced many of his critics and cricketing experts and fans are appreciating his fine run of form.

Veteran all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez also chimed in with his admiration of the wicket-keeper batsman, but he took things a bit too far. Hafeez tweeted his appreciation of Rizwan’s brilliant form and took a dig at former Pakistan wicket-keeper Sarfaraz Ahmed.

His tweet prompted a response from Sarfaraz Ahmed who appreciated Rizwan’s performance and said that whoever is playing in the team is the number one wicket-keeper at that time. Sarfaraz said that the likes of Tasleem Arif, Imtiaz Ahmed, Wasim Bari, Kamran Akmal, and Rashid Latif were the number one wicket-keeper batsmen in the country when they were playing.

Former Pakistan pacer, Mohammad Amir, who has been at war of words with Mohammad Hafeez over the past few years, joined in the action as well. Amir defended Sarfaraz and said that Sarfaraz was the number one wicket-keeper as well and he was the reason Pakistan became the world number one in T20Is and won the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy.
