Govt to Launch Punjab Skill Mapping Project

The government of Punjab is launching the Punjab Skill Mapping Project to collect categorized data from all the 36 districts and to prepare a skilled human force.

The Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) Chairperson, Ali Salman Siddique, tweeted, “Minister Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal presided high-level meeting comprising P-TEVTA, PEDMIC, Secretary Industries & Commerce, Punjab Investment Board and decided to initiate Punjab Skill Mapping Project”.

The Punjab’s Minister for Industries and Commerce, Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal, chaired a meeting in Lahore in which he launched the project and reviewed TEVTA’s performance. He said that the project will ensure that data is secured for the hiring of the skilled man force required for the industrial sector throughout the province.

The minister praised the incumbent government for taking the necessary steps to create new employment opportunities for skilled individuals.

He also announced that the TEVTA will participate in World Skill Summit in 2022 to promote the culture of skilling in the country.
