Schools to Resume Regular Classes from Next Month

Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Shafqat Mahmood, has announced that all the schools will resume the regular classes a week from March 1st.

Taking to Twitter, the Federal Minister said that all schools would go back to regular classes from the next month, and the restrictions imposed in some major cities on schools to conduct classes with 50% attendance were only till February 28th.

Mahmood said that the announcement applies to every educational institution in the designated cities where restrictions had been imposed.

The schools were closed again on November 26, 2020, following the second wave of COVID-19, and were reopened completely earlier this month following a confirmation from the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).

However, schools were asked to call students on alternative days with 50 percent of the strength each day. The restriction has been finally lifted.
