Three-Day Sports and Cultural Festival Beings in Swat

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Tourism Secretary, Abid Majid,  inaugurated three-day sports and cultural festival in the Gabin Jabba area of Swat District on Friday.

While attending an event held in connection with the inauguration, the secretary remarked that sensible steps have been taken to facilitate vacationers during their visit to KP.

“Gabin Jabba and Malam Jabba are the most attractive tourist destinations in Swat Valley. Domestic and foreign tourists are showing up in the chilly winter to enjoy the beauty of ‘mini Switzerland’ in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” he said.

Majid stated that Pakistan’s rich and breathtaking scenic beauty is being promoted with a contemporary approach to boost the tourism sector and generate employment for the locals.

The function was attended by the officials of the Swat district administration, and officials from the tourism department.

A cultural event has been organized by the KP Culture and Tourism Authority with the support of the tourism department and the Swat administration.

Cultural activities and sports competitions were held on the first day, including a snow marathon race, snow cycling, snow judo, tug-of-war, and archery.

People from all over Pakistan come in large numbers to attend the event.
