Ministry of National Health Services (NHS) has declared it a slow response, given the fact that there are around 8 million people above 65 years of age.

NHS has requested senior citizens to register themselves for the vaccination drive by sending their CNIC number to 1166 or by visiting the website of the National Immunization Management System (NIMS).

Senior citizens will be vaccinated with AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine.

Pakistan has already secured 17 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine. 2.8 million doses will reach Pakistan this week while the remaining will be received by the end of June this year.
