PM Khan to Personally Monitor Food Prices During Ramadan

Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has reaffirmed his commitment to serve the nation particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.

While addressing the participants at a meeting held in Bani Gala for the purview of domestic regulations and expected shifts in economic trends, the premier vowed to use all the available resources of the state to reduce the prices of food items in the country.

Irked at the hoarders and profiteers who manipulate the food sector for personal gains, PM Khan ordered the concerned divisions of the government to monitor the sales of food items during Ramadan. He also vowed to take strict action against the local businesses and mafias that sell food items at expensive rates.

Additionally, he directed the concerned authorities to provide residence to the homeless families in state-controlled Panahgahs with meals for iftar and sehr throughout the holy month.

The expected rollouts for the updates on the country’s food supply and related price lists will be conducted within a few days.
