Korean tech giant Samsung has reported total revenue of $58.2 billion in the first quarter of 2021, owing to strong sales for the Galaxy S21 series and its home appliance lineups.
In this period, the company reported a total operating profit of $8.3 billion, which is an increase of 44% compared to last year. As for sales, the number went up by 17% on a per-year basis. The company’s mobile division is expected to bring in a total of $3.5 billion as a whole, and the home appliances and TV division have also proven to be a solid contributor.
It is worth mentioning that this is only a preliminary report, and we will have to wait until we get actual results. However, preliminary reports are typically more or less accurate in predicting actual results, so we can expect strong profit figures from Samsung during the period.
There have been several reports of the Galaxy S21 series performing much better than the Galaxy S20, so it will be interesting to see the actual results once the numbers are consolidated.
We are also expecting to see the Galaxy S21 Fan Edition (FE) later this year which will likely rack up the numbers for Samsung even more.
