As per reports, the provincial government is evaluating the performances of its ministers, and major changes in the cabinet are expected in the coming days.

The development came after the headmasters of government schools, who had cleared the IBA test, staged a protest outside the Sindh Assembly for several days, demanding permanent jobs. The minister is yet to resolve the matter.

Sources familiar with the development suggested that the Sindh government’s spokesperson, Murtaza Wahab, is the leading candidate for the portfolio. The notification of his appointment might be issued in the next few days.

An overhaul of the provincial cabinet is also on the cards, after which some new faces could be added. Some ministers might get additional responsibilities while some portfolios could be withdrawn, sources added.
