Along with other Chinese companies, the BBK-owned Oppo is also planning on launching its first foldable phone later this year. Reportedly, it will be a clamshell phone and will be a female-focused device.
According to the Chinese tipster that goes by the name Arsenal, the phone will measure around 7 inches in its unfolded form, and around 2 inches when folded.

It will be equipped with the all-new LTPO screen technology which means the foldable display will support a dynamic refresh rate. Unfortunately, the tipster failed to provide any further details regarding the specifications of the device. Moreover, there is no information about its launch.
The foldable market has a couple of new devices coming in. Samsung is readying to launch the new Galaxy Z Flip in July. Xiaomi is also working on three new foldable phones. Oppo’s clamshell foldable phone is expected to rival the new Z Flip and last year’s Motorola Razr 5G.

In other news, Oppo is planning to launch the much-awaited Reno 6 series on May 22 in China. The phone will boast specifications like a 90 Hz AMOLED + display with punch-hole design, curved edges and 1080p resolution, a 32 MP front-facing camera, a 64 MP quad-camera system, Dimensity 1200 chipset, and a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charge support.
