Another Paper Leaks Before Matric Exam in Karachi

Despite assurances from education authorities to improve the distribution mechanism of question papers, the mathematics questionnaire of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Annual Examination 2021 in Karachi was leaked 30 minutes before the start of the exam.

The exam was scheduled to start at 9:30 am on Tuesday but the question paper was available at photocopy shops 30 minutes earlier. A day earlier, the Physics paper also leaked just five minutes after the start of the paper. Further, in several exam centers, the question paper could not be delivered at all.

Following the reports of mismanagement on media, the Sindh government had swung into action and has summoned the controller examination of Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) who had assured Adviser Nisar Khoro of taking corrective measures.

However, the leak of mathematics question paper has once again exposed the incompetency of BSEK and the Sindh government.

Note that the BSEK chairman, Syed Sharaf Ali Shah, had blamed the central control officers (CCOs) for the controversy and delay in the delivery of the papers.

While speaking at a news program, the chairman BSEK said that the CCOs will no longer perform this duty. Now, the superintendents will collect papers from the hubs and deliver them to the exam centers.
