Pakistan Suzuki Motor Company’s (PSMC) Alto has the most units sold in the fiscal year 2020-2021 (FY 20-21) according to Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA).
The report states that PSMC holds a lead over other manufacturers with a 66 percent share in the automotive sector and PSMC has sold 37,730 units of its Alto. Toyota Yaris has become Pakistan’s number 1 sedan with 28,295 units sold and was launched just last year.

Honda Atlas Cars registered a 13 percent year-on-year increase in sales, while Indus Motor Company reported a 3 percent drop in year-on-year sales. Recent entrants Hyundai Nishat and Lucky Motor (KIA) have sold 3,748 units and 8,652 units respectively.
Sales of new entrants like Hyundai and KIA are increasing and are providing the big 3 (Honda, Suzuki, and Toyota) a challenge. This will prove beneficial for the Pakistani automotive sector as manufacturers will hopefully provide more features in order to compete for sales.
